Basics of Latin American Dances for Children Aged 6–10

Latin American dances are full of energy, rhythm, and the joy of movement! Our classes for children aged 6 to 9 are the perfect way to introduce them to the basics of these dynamic dance styles, including salsa, cha-cha, reggaeton, samba, and bachata.

At this age, children naturally learn new movements and begin to develop a greater awareness of rhythm and musical dynamics. In our classes, we focus not only on the technique of each dance style but also on proper posture, coordination, and overall elegance of movement. Children gradually learn basic steps and simple choreographies, helping them build dance confidence and performance skills. In addition to individual expression, this course also emphasizes partner work, which teaches children mutual communication, respect, and teamwork.

All classes are led by qualified instructors with university degrees in dance pedagogy and extensive experience working with children. Our goal is to create a friendly and motivating environment where children not only develop their dance skills but also enjoy the joy of movement. The course includes 8 to 10 lessons, each lasting 60 minutes, during which children will develop not only dance technique but also a sense of music, rhythm, and movement coordination.

What does the course contain?

• 10 lessons of 60 minutes or 90 minutes.

The course takes place in our dance studio in Vinohrady, right in the city center, with excellent public transport access. We’re close to metro and tram stops, so getting here is quick and easy.
